As a member of Batley Ladies Hockey Club you are expected to abide by the following general club rules:

• All members must play within the rules and respect officials and their decisions;

• All members must respect opponents;

• Members should keep to agreed timings for fixtures or inform the Captain(s), Vice-Captain(s), or nominated person(s) they are going to be late;

• Members must wear suitable sports kit including shin pads - for training and match sessions. We would also recommend gum shields are worn during training and match sessions;

• Members must pay any fees for membership and events promptly;

• Anti social behaviour, offensive, racist or sexist language will be challenged and may result in disciplinary action under the Yorkshire Hockey Association rules;

 

The below are specific rules applied to fees and weekly team recruitment for the 2016 / 17 season

Recruiting the team each week:

Members must let the Vice-Captain(s), Captain(s) or nominated person(s) know each week whether they can play by Thursday 8pm. If no communication has been received it will be assumed that member is unable to play on Saturday.

If by Thursday at 8pm there are fewer than nine confirmed players for the match on Saturday the game will be forfeited. The exception will be where enough individuals have notified the Vice-Captain(s), Captain(s) or nominated person(s) that late notification will be forthcoming on the Friday.

Subscriptions

Match Fee:

Members must pay the £5 match fees each match or make suitable arrangements with the Treasurer(s), Secretary(s), Captain(s), Vice-Captain(s) or nominated person(s) in order to maintain their ability to be picked for matches each week

Annual Fees:

All members MUST pay the annual subscriptions to the club. This ensures the club has insurance and the appropriate affiliations to the regional and national bodies to maintain a position in the league. Flexible and discounted payment options are available in discussion with the Treasurer (Krystal Hemingway ) and Captain (Vicky Almond) . However, if by halfway through the season no commitment has been made you will forfeit your right to  picked for matches each week until remedied.

This season fees are due either in full (£60) by the 24th September or on two installments as follows:

First installment 24th September -  £30

Second Installment 10th December - £30
