BATLEY V CITY OF YORK

Todays game was reasonably open with both sides fighting hard throughout.

Helen was kept quite busy, but our centurians Jenni, Danni, Krystal and Mel were there, seeing York off and defending our goal magnificently.

Gail scored our one and only goal just minutes into the game. A great straight strike on goal from a short corner that went in off a defenders foot. 

Sarah, Gemma and Emily were, as usual, keeping court in the centre, whilst Vicky, Jo, Gail, Ashleigh and Rach were up front trying hard to get the ball into the goal and had quite a few near misses. 

The York defense was brilliant, they really took some beating, and really made us work for our win today.

The game became a little untidy and scrappy around the goal late in the second half. We were trying so hard to get that second goal, but it wasn't to be.

It was a pretty good game to watch this week. MOM JENNI well done Jenni. Emily went off with a poorly toe, Gail very gallantly stayed on after being hit on the boobies Ouch!!!

Vicky played all game with a fuzzy head after being out the night before testing all the shots ready for the xmas fun night next week..
