Bradford 0 - Batley 3

Todays game was the most exciting yet with both sides battling hard and fast from start to finish, with every player being put to the test.

Bradford fought hard to get the better of us, but it wasn't to be. Bradford were quick to the ball but we proved to be quicker! Charging them down and dismissing their attempts spoiling their game plan.

Gemma, Sarah, Emily & Jo were once again invaluable throughout the game, chasing everything that came their way. Helen was put to the test today but Bradfords effort were in vain. Helen you were brilliant.

Gail, Kim & Hayley were, as always, on the ball, upsetting the opposition with their speed, strength and skills working together and frustrating Bradford.

The 2nd half started off the same as the 1st half, both teams searching for the opportunity to be the 1st to score. 8 mins into the 2nd half Gail did her thing and hit the back board of the Bradford goal. 15 mins later we had em when Kim fired another ball past the goal keeper.

We had the upper hand now, but Bradford fought back attacking haed and breaking fast, but with Jenny and Mel keeping court at the back we proved too much for them.

Ashleigh stuck the knife in with a 3rd goal just before the final whistle when she deflected the ball from a cross straight across the front of the goal and the ball hit the backboard again! Well Done you three scorers.

We had quite a few goal mouth scrambles at both ends today but we took our chances and won. It was a good game to watch and no doubt a good game to play. Well Done to all of you.

Emily was voted MOM and well deserved No misdemeanors to report today.
