WE DID IT AGAIN

BATLEY 3 - YORK 0 Batley's attack from was strong from the start and fluent throughout the 1st half with our 1st goal coming from a short corner. Linda claimed the goal but officially it was an own goal, we are not bothered how the ball gets passed the goalkeeper as long as it does! Well done Linda for your efforts here. Batley had the majority of the ball in our 1st half thanks to the speed of Sophie, Sarah, Gemma and Emily who were all on form today.

Vicky was all over the park and chased everything that moved, (although she was reported to have had a hangover) do it again next week Vicky. Linda, Danni and Jenni were on form as well, not letting York through to meet our Helen who at times looked like Billy No Mates in goal. York did make one notable attack, but Helen made a superb double save, frustrating the York team. The 2nd half saw quite a few short corners come our way with Janna taking her opportunity to hit the backboards of the York defence making it 2 -0 well done! 5 mins later another short corner proved too much for York and after a bit of a goal mouth scramble Ashleigh took her chance and made it 3 -0 well done! Batley showed signs of tiring but I'm not surprised after the effort you all put in today, we had no subs.

We missed a few direct hits on goal today, but if we had the hard straight hitting of Linda (and she can hit it hard and straight) then the score line could have been a lot higher. We came off the field smiling knowing that we had done another good job. WE OWNED THAT FIELD TODAY WELL DONE TO EVERYBODY SOPHIE WAS VOTED MOM and well deserved too
