A Season Review

It’s been a great season, we’ve been committed, we’ve been competitive and best of all we’ve been WINNING. We’ve maintained a team that’s very similar to the one we started with in September. We have welcomed some old faces back to the team and also waved goodbye to a regular team member, Gemma, when she moved away.

The season started strong with some wins, followed by an injury plagued few weeks where we struggled to get a team, then things went back to normal and we pulled together a team regularly and only really suffered when we played a long way away.
We have finished 5th in the league, a whole 4 places above our finishing position last year, and have accumulated 15 more points than the last season.

Our performance has been far more consistent than that of last year, regularly winning and always climbing up the points table.

We won over 50% of our games, and managed to only concede one, away in Brid, which I went to anyway… I have no life.

We’ve travelled to 10 away matches, over 230 miles.

We have a new logo, for a new website.

Vicky & Jodi – Most Committed

Jodi Ramsden – Top Goal Scorer

Sarah Fretwell – Players Player

Helen Aris Langwick – Captains Award

Playing for Batley has been an absolute pleasure this year. We’re looking forward to a great 15/16 season with some returning players and maybe some more actual defenders too! Vicky has been an outstanding captain supported fantastically by Jodi. It’s great to know you guys are taking the lead roles again next season!
