Christmas Party Time!

Our matches the last couple of weeks have been cancelled because of frozen pitches, so there's no match reviews to catch up on.
Luckily, we've had our Christmas party, so there's still something to share! How lucky you all are!
We met together in our pub The Taproom in Batley at 6pm (well, some of us did, some people were late... I'd mention names, but it was me, so I'm not). After a few drinks, some pictures in our Christmas Jumpers and some grief about the commitment table (You can find that here), we moved on to Lala's in Batley for a Christmas Curry.

Vicky had decided that she couldn't walk to Lala's in heels, a distance of 0.3 miles. So we ordered a taxi, we were already running late for our table, and meeting Tina, at this point, so we needed to get there sharpish. Sarah was driving, so took some of the team to get to Lala's on time. The rest of us waited for the taxi... and waited.... and waited... until eventually, more team decided they weren't waiting any more and walked the 0.3 mile hike to Lalas, arriving long before Vicky and Jodi who were the only ones willing to wait!
We promptly made friends with Naz, our waiter for the evening, and tried to encourage him to join the team, or at the very least provide our teas on a weekly basis! No luck.

After a LOT of curry and several of us getting locked in the toilet, we were debating whether we were too full to go dancing. Somehow Linda lost some sort of bet which lead to her showing her arse to everyone in the restaurant. Sorry other diners. I'm not sure how that came about, something to do with chocolate balancing. We decided that we did have enough energy for a little bit of dancing, so we headed over the road to Brooklands. Although not before Jodi had some selfies with the staff in Lala's.

Brooklands was an experience. We were all about 15 years older than most of the clientele and wearing far too many clothes. With our plastic glasses and feet sticking to the floor we got involved in some questionable dancing. Jodi's dancing as an elf looked a little bit like this...
After this, I went home, so if anything else happened, I don't know about it! Feel free to let me know though!
Hope everyone has a lovely Christmas and New Year, look forward to seeing you all on Jan 10th for the first match back!
