Batley continue their winning run!

We travelled to Bradford this week in a bid to get a hat-trick streak against bottom of the league Bradford 1 (again with no subs!)

Batley started relaxed with some good passes upfront, putting pressure on the Bradford defence. This continuous pressure resulted in the first GOAL (Bradford OG) claimed by Kim.

Batley continued to play well, however a lapse in concentration resulted in a quick goal from the Bradford Striker.

Bradford cam e back strong following their equaliser with some big hits downfield from their midfielder, however Batley held up in their defence with some fantastic runs from Gail, which opened up the wings nicely for some good attacking play.

Batley kept the pressure on moving up the pitch quickly which gave us our second GOAL from Theresa, who found the back of the net with fantastic positioning on the post for a sweep in.

With Batley’s confidence high, we kept the pressure on, with a few scares from the hard hits into our defence, with good battling from all 3 at the back we kept the Bradford attack back and pushed back up the pitch.

Some good runs from Jodie & Janna back up from Hilary on the right wing gave Sophie support for a cracking run down the right to hit the back of the net for our 3rd GOAL.

The second half started strong again with Batley pressing the Bradford defence, however they stayed strong, and again some cracking hits up the pitch brought Batley back to defend their net against attack.

Batley held their position and midfield kept pushing at Bradford defence, breaking them down to allow Sophie to swoop in for her second GOAL of the match.

The game ended 4-1 and a brilliant game played by all!
